CU Community Bible Study & Magnify Worship
Our Monday night group's mantra is "Learning to rightly divide the Word of Truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). We seek to learn God's heart through His Word and learn how the Holy Spirit is our guide into all truth (John 16:13). We use different translations to learn how to really dig in to gain a well-rounded understanding including the cultural reference time period that it was written. We know that God's love for us is outlined in every verse from Genesis to Revelation.
We have young people from several churches who gather and invite friends (both saved & unsaved) to join us knowing that they are inviting them to a safe place to learn. We have young people from all backgrounds and denominations who have a hunger to learn more about what God's Word says and to apply it to live a CALLED life. Some of our young people are on church staffs while are others have not yet committed their lives to Christ but are seeking answers.
What Does The Night Look Like:
It starts at 7 pm with some time in the Word and hanging out. MAGNIFY worship starts at 8 pm. Trey will typically teach through the Word of God. We will have periodical guest speakers when Trey is out of the country doing mission work. Magnify is a time to have focused worship where we go to a deep place in God’s presence. Everyone is really friendly and those who attend the first time leave feeling like family.
What Is The Outreach Component?
This is an optional part of our group activities as well, but our group will serve together at our bi-monthly Take the City events as well as our #CalledTogether worship & prayer nights that are hosted at various churches in the city. Our group also leads gatherings of United City college worship leaders and engage opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus with our neighbors.
We offer group opportunities to attend mission trips with A Called Generation, join one of mentor or leadership groups, or simply getting involved in any of our local mission projects.
